On November 13th, the 6th Lithium Battery Technology and Industry Development Forum was successfully held in Kunshan.

Nan Cewen, an academician of the CAS Member and a professor of Tsinghua University, delivered a speech via video as the chairman of the forum: under the current background of the national dual carbon strategy, the new energy vehicle and energy storage industry showed a trend of rapid development, the lithium battery technology continued to iterate, and the development of the lithium battery industry was even more prosperous. On the application demand side, people are looking forward to safer, more reliable, higher energy, and lower cost batteries. The purpose of this forum is to create a distinctive platform for close exchange and cooperation between lithium battery technology, industry, academia, research, and capital. It aims to exchange and discuss innovative technologies for batteries, application needs for new energy vehicles and energy storage, as well as entrepreneurial investment opportunities, in order to promote the vigorous development of new generation lithium battery technology and industry.

During his speech, Feng Yuchuan, Chairman of Qingtao Energy, introduced that this year, Qingtao Energy hosted the launch and implementation plan demonstration meeting of the "Key Materials and Applications of High Safety Lithium ion Power and Energy Storage Batteries" project, a national key research and development plan for the 14th Five Year Plan. The national competent department specifically invited Qingtao Energy to report on its work and conduct on-site inspections in the company, which was fully recognized. Qingtao Energy will live up to its heavy trust, continue to deepen its solid-state battery technology, and work together with upstream and downstream partners to promote and link development, creating a new energy vehicle industry cluster with international competitiveness.

——The first generation product developed by Qingtao Energy has introduced solid-state electrolyte materials and developed unique processes and equipment, significantly improving the energy density and safety performance of batteries. It has been successfully applied in new energy vehicles, specialty, energy storage and other fields. In a few months, it will be mass-produced on SAIC Zhiji's vehicle, with a range of over 1000 kilometers.

——Qingtao Energy's second-generation product development is a high-performance solid-state system, matched with high-voltage manganese positive electrodes and high-capacity silicon-based negative electrodes. With innovative dry electrode technology, it can further improve safety and significantly reduce costs. By 2025, it will be equipped in multiple SAIC vehicle models to achieve a sales scale of "100000 vehicles".

——The third-generation products of Qingtao Energy undergo full solid-state technological innovation in battery material system, structural design, and manufacturing process, breaking through energy density limits and achieving "absolute safety" in engineering sense.
